STUDIO Lesson Policies
Please Note
For in-home lessons, a parent or responsible adult must be present in the home during lessons.
Tuition
- Tuition is conveniently processed on the first of each month by pre-authorized credit card or direct debit.
- You’ll only be charged for lessons that take place, as long as you provide your teacher with at least 48 hours’ notice for any missed lesson.
Payments
- Payments are processed automatically on or about the first of each month.
- Payments are made directly to Key Mobile Music and not the instructor.
- Payments may be made by Visa/Mastercard or pre-authorized direct debit.
- Payments are processed at the beginning of the month for the same month.
- Lessons may be suspended if payment is not received in a timely manner.
Missing a Lesson
- If you need to miss a lessons, please notify your teacher as soon as possible. To receive a credit for the missed lesson, you must notify your teacher at least 48 hours in advance of the lesson.
- Lessons missed with less than 48 hours’ notice will not receive a credit or refund.
- If a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, a credit will be issued and applied to the following month’s tuition.
- In the case of a student no-show, no credit or make-up will be provided.

Fees
- One-Time Registration Fee $15 per student (payable at registration)
- Yearly Administration Fee $10 per student (payable in September)

In-Home Lesson Environment
- The lesson area in your home should be in a quiet space with few interruptions.
- Please turn off the TV, radio, electronic games, etc.
- If your pets are disruptive, they should be removed from the lesson area.
- The teacher may require access to a table and chairs for the theory part of the lesson. This needs to be in a quiet area with few interruptions.
- A parent or responsible adult must be present in the home during lessons.
Discontinuing Lessons
- Every student at KMM is enrolled on a month-to-month basis. To discontinue lessons and to discontinue charges to your account, please fill out the withdrawal form. To discontinue lessons and stop future charges, a minimum of 15 days’ notice is required prior to your final planned lesson date.
- Lessons scheduled within this 15-day notice period remain billable, and families are responsible for lesson fees whether or not the lessons are attended.
- We reserve the right to withdraw a student from lessons based on poor attitude, disruptive behaviour, or difficult parents.
By registering for lessons with Key Mobile Music, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to follow our studio policies. Your registration signifies your commitment to adhering to all policies outlined by the studio.
